Kalyani Ashrama, a branch of Sree Sarada Ashrama was established in 2001 at Kalyani in Nadia district, near Kalyani Simanta Station. The mission of the branch is to spread spiritual awareness among the local people. Daily puja, Sondhyaroti, bhajanas, bhog, Ramnaam sankirtana, Kathamrita path, Gita Path, discussions on other religious importance are performed regularly with full dedication. The Ashrama runs a free coaching centre here for the poor girls from Class III to class XII of different Schools. Ashrama carries the expenses of their School fees, uniform, books, Khata, Pen, Pencils, eraser etc. A charitable dispensary “Niramoy Prakalpa”  of Ashrama where one Homoeopathic doctor, an Eye Specialist and a general physician provide treatment for the needy people, once or twice in a week at minimum cost. The Ashrama organizes free health – camp, Eye camp once in a year. Good number of patients is provided with a medical check -up and free medicines & Spectacles are given to the poor people. Needy and underprivileged women are trained here to learn embroidery, tailoring, boutique product, Soft toys, pickles, sauce, etc by Ashrama without any cost to make them financially independent. In the festival of Durga Puja new clothes are distributed to the poor people and winter garments are given in winter season. Ashrama collects old garments from outside and distributes them at local areas. Ashrama celebrates the birthday ceremony of Swami Vivekananda every year with different cultural and educational programmes. On this occasion, special puja and bhog, arati are being offered to Thakur Ramakrishna, Sree Sree Maa & Swamiji. Respected Maharajjee of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, eminent scholars, singers & performers are invited to participate in the programme. Many worshippers, bhakta mandalis & villagers around 1800/2000 people are served by mid day praised meal in a sitting arrangement.
