Sree Sarada Ashrama,
is an old religious, philanthropic organization established in 1956, at New Alipore ‘O’ Block by Bani Debi and Mira Debi, the two ardent devotees of Holy mother Sree Sree Saradamoni Debi. The Holy Mother is the central figure of this women’s organization. The Ashrama follows the ideals and the way shown by Sree Sree Maa to practise spiritual disciplines and carry out day to day activities. The Ashrama aimed at self emancipation and upliftment of human being through spiritual development and selfless services to the society, especially to the women. Presently Ashrama successfully runs five schools for the girls with hostel accommodation.

sprawling over 4 Bighas land at New Alipore, a very posh area in South Kolkata. Even people not interested in religion come here for the peace it exudes. This place is blessed with the visit of many monks & nuns of Ramakrishna, in the presence of Mira Debi & Bani Debi whoever the direct disciples of sree Saradamoni Debi. The Ashrama premises include the monastery , temple and a famous school under West Bengal Board. The Sree Sarada Ashrama stands as a symbol of the eternal truth of religion tested and embodied by Sree Sree Maa Sarada, Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda and their message of harmony in religions, divinity of the soul, renunciation and service. Free from bigotry and sectarianism, rational and modern in outlook, the Ashrama is committed to the task of ushering in a new age in which the distinctions of caste , creed and class do not exist, we reach fullness in God, and all our activities are carried out as an act of worship.
